DESIGN CLASSES
Beginner Design Class (6 hours)
Ok, so you think you can't create your own quilt design. Well I know you can. Come to class with five half metres of coordinating fabrics, your cutting mat, rotary cutter, rulers, and a design wall and let’s see what you can come up with. You will be given cutting instructions and then we'll have some fun arranging and designing. No sewing machine required. You will have your small quilt laid out and ready to take home and sew together by the end of the class. |
Planning your Walking Foot Quilting (6 hours)
As a participant in this class, you will work with pencil and paper (or computer if you prefer). You will be guided through various exercises to help you understand the process in designing a custom quilting plan. We will start with diagrams of quilts I have designed as well as some basic traditional designs and then you will work on planning the quilting for one or more of your own projects. As a class we will work together and share ideas to come up with successful quilting plans. - ALL LEVELS Based on my book, Edge-to-Edge Walking Foot Quilting Designs which is required for the class. |
Designing Quilts with Microsoft Paint (6 hours)
This is a one day workshop on using the free Microsoft Paint program that comes standard with windows computers. Students will learn the basics and then move on to using this program to design their own quilts. Each student will require their own PC laptop (not Mac). - ALL LEVELS |
Never the Same Quilt Twice (6 hours)
You will have fun learning the techniques to make this simple yet striking medallion quilt. The beauty of this pattern is that there are so many combinations that everyone will go home with a different quilt. Once you have the pattern and techniques you can whip up more of them on your own and each one will be different. They make a great charity quilt or gift. Your quilt will be 53” square but borders can be added to make it larger if desired (extra fabric required). - ALL LEVELS
There is no picture here because I do this as a mystery class. Don't want it to be a mystery, contact me and I will send you some pictures.
