I was so pleased to have had the opportunity to work with these playful prints by Heidi Pridemore of The Whimsical Workshop. When I saw them I immediately knew I wanted to do something that really focused on the fabrics so I designed this quilt adding only a smidge of black to make the colours pop. Tess-Elation is made with (2) 10" squares of each of the 20 fabrics. The pattern comes together quickly and there is no special ruler required. There is almost no waste and what is leftover from the (40) 10" squares could be used to make a matching cushion. A larger quilt can be made with (4) 10" squares of each of the 20 fabrics. The directions are included in the pattern. As usual with my patterns, I give you a quilting plan. I often use 12wt thread when quilting with a walking foot as I did with this quilt. The black quilting lines echoing the black sashing makes the fabrics pop even more. Have you tried quilting with 12wt thread?
