My Grandson's favourite cartoon is Spiderman. When I saw the pixelated picture of Spiderman's face by Tim Leong (in his book Super Graphic) I knew instantly I had to make a quilt. It is comprised of 1156 2.5" squared (2" finished) but it actually came together quite quickly. Don't tell him but he's going to get it for his 5th birthday. 68" x 68"

2014 My wonky baby quilt |
I was invited to a baby shower. I already had a quilt top sewn together but I didn't like the big squares, so I cut the top apart and started sewing the pieces together randomly and slightly wonky. When I ended up with a large chunk of yellow I decided to add an appliqué. The fabric was full of ladybugs so I enlarged the design. I think the ladybug really makes the quilt. It is backed with fleece and does not have batting. I wrote a pattern for it which is available for free at My Pattern Store on Craftsy.

2014 Burgoyne IllusionThis is a design I've thought about for a while. I found the beautiful background fabric at Keystone Quilts and got to work on it. I also wrote the pattern for it while I was making it and it is available here.
