Applique done on a store bought fleece blanket.  Made for Aunty Alice for Christmas.

2005 For Darsea & Daniel

Christmas presents.  Applique on store bought fleece blankets.

2005 Wallets

Credit card holder for me, business card holder for dad, and wallet for mom.

2005 Back of Jean Jacket

Off centre log cabin. I designed this myself, it's kind of like a yin-yang I think.

2005 Denim Blanket

Made for my in laws, Chuck and Fern for Christmas.
48" x 72"

2005 Testing

This is the first quilt I quilted with my Pfaff Grand Quilter on the Inspira Quilting Frame.  It is completely free motion.

2005 Bell Pulls

These are both made with men's ties.

2005 Angel Table Runner

Variation of a pattern I saw someone demonstrate on QNN when it was a free website.

2005 Trees

Christmas wall quilt.

2005 Country Squares

This one also hangs at Bear Country Cottages in Belair.

2005 Mountie Silhouette

Pattern by Ruffled Elegance.  This little wall quilt hangs at work.

2005 Flower Patches

This is from the same set of drapery samplesI found at the second hand store that I made Oriental Denim with.  The ones I used for Oriental Denim were a shiny synthetic fabric these ones were cotton with no shine.

2005 Free Motion Embroidery

I took a class on Free Motion Embroidery at Carellan Sewing Centre with Ingrid Lincoln.  We learned several techniques as we created this bag.

2005 One Lone Tree

Yarn is couched down to make the tree.  The quilt hangs in one of the Bear Country Cottages in Belair.

2005 Plaid

I found the orange and blue squares at House of Economy in Selkirk.

2005 Deer Silhouette and 2005 Bear Silhouette

Created for Bear Country Cottages in Belair.

2005 What if ...

Recycling:  a curtain, a bed skirt, a valance, a sweatshirt, a sheet, and someone elses sewing leftovers all found at the local thrift store, Togs 'n' Treasures.

2005 Qulting Ladies

Lorelei Designs fabric.  I love the little quilty ladies so I put them all in a row.  They greet me in my stairwell as you go down into my sewing/quilting room.

6" x 25"

2005 Ebb and Flow

I took a class on Ricky Tim's convergence.  Unfortunately we had a very poor instructor and she gave me some bad advice on colour placement so my orange/yellow fabrics blended into each other.  Instead of continuing with the convergence, I decided to do my own thing.

2005 Focus

Made with leftovers from Ebb & Flow.

2005 Blue and Green Shouldn't be Seen

Off set log cabin.

2005 Autumn Sun

Autumn Sun (modified) from Patchwork and Quilting magazine. This is paperpieced. I decided after doing this that I don't like paper piecing.

2005 Grandma's Flower Garden

I called this Grandma's flower garden because it is backed with my Grandma's old orange bedspread.

2005 Oriental Denim

There is nothing Oriental about this blanket or the fabric but it did end up having an Oriental flavour to it.  It is made from synthetic drappery samples (unknown fibre content) that is a fairly sturdy using a quilt-as-you-go technique.

48" x 72"

2005 These Old Jeans.

Blanket made with Rick's old jeans and one pair of green jeans to add some detail.  This is a great blanket for going to the park or the beach.  And there's Dusty in the picture.

48" x 72"
